The EHS Bin Blender is a GMP, robust machine that is easy to operate. Preconfigured blending recipes can be set with the desired blend time, speed of rotation, and number of rotations to ensure a consistent homogeneous blend.

Features

The Bin Blender has several benefits when implemented in the manufacturing process:

Column Cover:

front of column is closed with an FDA-compliant cover that moves with the carriage to prevent water from entering the column during wash-down.

Skew Angle:

bins (IBCs) rotate using a skew angle of 30 degrees to optimize the blend time without using baffles in the bin.

Hydraulic Controls:

rear cabinet holds hydraulic power unit and hydraulic controls for the lift and clamp cylinders. Electrical controls are housed in a separate cabinet with the HMI.

Automatic Bin Clamping:

bins (IBCs) are clamped by hydraulic cylinders for easy bin docking while pressure monitors ensure the bin is secure.

Various Bin Sizes:

different sized bins (IBCs) can be used with the same arm attachment.

Variable Rotating Speed:

bin (IBC) rotation speed is controlled using a variable frequency drive; a touch-screen HMI uses pre-configured recipes for blend time, number of rotations, and rotation speed.

EHS offers a wide range of standard bin (IBC) sizes in both square and round geometries. We can also create custom sizes to fit your application needs. Each bin (IBC) is manufactured with the highest standards for welding and polishing, with large radius corners to allow for optimal cleaning.

Product Testing

The EHS Testing Lab provides a controlled environment where products can be tested to verify performance. Send your materials to our testing lab in Peoria, IL for testing with our demo Bin Blender. You can come on site to observe the testing or we can send video and/or a detailed report after the tests are complete.

Customizable

The EHS design library and fast track design services allow our team to efficiently tailor our products to meet the specific requirements of each application. During the design phase, the EHS engineering team analyzes the application to develop a custom and comprehensive material handling solution. By using standard options as well as custom-designed features, a GMP operator-centric design can be achieved. Load capacity, maximum rotation speed, and maximum lift height are all easily customized to fit a specific application.



Power Configuration

The EHS Bin Blender can be configured to use any voltage input. A hydraulic pump is used to power cylinders to clamp the bin onto the rotating arm. The lift cylinder and blending drive can either use a hydraulic pump to power a hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic motor or an electric motor can drive a ball screw and rotary actuator.


Control Options

The Bin Blender comes standard with a fully automated blending sequence controlled by a PLC with touchscreen HMI. The automated blending sequence is customized with the blend time, number of rotations, and rotation speed for each specific blend recipe to ensure repeatability.

Safety interlocks can be set up with gates or laser sensors to prevent any operation if an operator is within range of the Bin Blender.
